| ISSUE: |
| The San Bernardino Community College District Police Department is seeking entry into the POST Reimbursable Public Safety Dispatcher Program. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The San Bernardino Community College District Police Department has requested to participate in the POST Reimbursable Public Safety Dispatcher Program pursuant to Penal Code 13510(c) and 13522. The agency has agreed to abide by POST regulations. A Resolution of the San Bernardino Community College District was adopted on April 10, 2014, as required by Penal Code Section 13522. The San Bernardino Community College District Peace Officers entered the POST Reimbursable Program on September 1, 2008. |
| ANALYSIS: |
The agency presently employs two full-time Public Safety Dispatchers.
Fiscal impact for reimbursement of training would consist of reimbursement for CPT for two full-time Public Safety Dispatchers. |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
| The Commission is advised that the San Bernardino Community College District Police Department Public Safety Dispatchers have been accepted into the POST Reimbursable Public Safety Dispatcher Program. |
