ISSUE:
The Solano County of Health and Social Services Department, Special Investigations Bureau is seeking entry into the POST Regular Officer Program.
BACKGROUND:
The Solano County Health and Social Services Department, Special Investigations Bureau has requested participation in the POST Peace Officer Program pursuant to Penal Code section 13510. The agency has agreed to abide by Commission Regulations.  An Ordinance was adopted by the Solano County Board of Supervisors on June 23, 2015 as required by Penal Code section 13522.
ANALYSIS:
The agency presently employs a chief and four investigators. The fiscal impact for reimbursement of training would consist of reimbursement for Continuing Professional Training for five full-time officers.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission is advised that the Solano County Health and Social Services Department, Special Investigations Bureau  has been accepted into the POST Peace Officer Program.
