| ISSUE: |
| The Solano Community College District has disbanded their police department and contracted for law enforcement services with the Solano County Sheriff's Office. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The Solano Community College District Police Department has been a participating agency in the POST program since March 10, 1999. In 2014, the Solano Community College District outsourced the majority of its police services to the Solano County Sheriff's Office. Effective June 29, 2015, the district eliminated the remaining peace officer positions. The district has informed the Commission that it will no longer maintain a police department and all law enforcement services will be provided by the Solano County Sheriff's Office. |
| ANALYSIS: |
| The Solano Community College District has disbanded their police department and informed the Commission that law enforcement services will be provided by the Solano County Sheriff's Office. |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
| The Commission is advised that the Solano Community College District Police Department has been disbanded by the college district and has been removed from the POST program. |
