| The City of Santa Monica, Office of Emergency Management is seeking entry into the POST Public Safety Dispatcher Program. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The City of Santa Monica, Office of Emergency Management has requested participation in the POST Public Safety Dispatcher Program pursuant to Penal Code section 13510 (c). The agency has agreed to abide by Commission Regulations. |
| ANALYSIS: |
| The agency employs Public Safety Dispatchers that have completed the Public Safety Dispatcher's Basic Course. The fiscal impact for reimbursement of training would consist of reimbursement for Continuing Professional Training for 26 full-time Public Safety Dispatchers. |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
| The Commission is advised that the City of Santa Monica, Office of Emergency Management has been accepted into the POST Public Safety Dispatcher Program. |
