ISSUE:
The Grass Valley Police Department disbanded its Public Safety Dispatch Center effective November 1, 2012 and contracted with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office for dispatch services.
BACKGROUND:
The Grass Valley Police Department has requested to remove their Public Safety Dispatch Center from the POST Public Safety Dispatcher Reimbursable Program.
ANALYSIS:
Grass Valley Police Department disbanded its Communication Center effective November 1, 2012 and now contracts with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office for its dispatch services.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission is advised that the Grass Valley Police Department's Public Safety Dispatcher Center is removed from the POST Public Safety Dispatcher Reimbursable Program.
