ISSUE:
The Tehachapi Police Department is seeking entry into the POST Reimbursable Public Safety Dispatcher Program. 
BACKGROUND:
The Tehachapi Police Department has requested to participate in the POST Reimbursable Public Safety Dispatcher Program pursuant to Penal Code 13510(c), 13512 and 13522.  The agency has agreed to abide by Commission  Regulations.  An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Tehachapi was adopted on October 3, 2016, as required by Penal Code Section 13522, and went into full effect on November 3, 2016.
ANALYSIS:

The Agency presently employs seven (7) public safety dispatchers.

Fiscal impact for reimbursement of the training would consist of reimbursement for Continuing Professional Training for seven (7) public safety dispatchers.

RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission is advised that the Tehachapi Police Department Public Safety Dispatchers have been accepted into the POST Reimbursable Public Safety Dispatcher Program.
