ISSUE:
This is a status report of courses which have been certified and decertified from 9/1/17 to 12/31/17.
BACKGROUND:
This report is submitted to the Commission tri-annually to report the status of certified and decertified courses (see Attachment A). At the June 2016 meeting, the Commission requested more detail relative to this standing report. Attachment B (New Course Report) provides details regarding the certification of new courses. Attachment C (Decertified Courses Report) provides details regarding the decertified courses during this time frame.

Referring to Attachment B (New Course Report), 41 of the 113 courses (36%) were used for Pilot testing purposes. Of the remaining 72 courses, fifteen (15%) percent are Firearms related, thirteen (13%) percent involve Dispatch/Public Safety courses, eleven (11%) percent are PSP related, seven (7%) percent involve Principled Policing and the remaining fifty-four (54%) percent include a wide variety of courses.

Referring to Attachment C (Decertified Courses Report) decertified courses totaled 19.  Below is a breakdown of these courses.
