ISSUE:
Lake Hemet Municipal Water District has been disbanded effective July 1, 2018.
BACKGROUND:
Law Enforcement services for Lake Hemet Municipal Water District rangers were not funded for the coming fiscal year. Lake Hemet Municipal Water District will be formally released from the POST Non-Reimbursable Program.
ANALYSIS:
Training Delivery and Compliance staff has confirmed by way of letter received on June 18, 2018 from Mike Gow, General Manager with Lake Hemet Municipal Water District indicating the ranger services will no longer being used and the organization will be disbanded.
RECOMMENDATION:
POST recommends the now defunct Lake Hemet Municipal Water District be reflected as obsolete.
