ISSUE:
The Compton Community College Police Department has been approved for entry into the the POST Reimbursable Program for its peace officers and dispatchers.
BACKGROUND:
Compton Community College Police Department has requested to participate in the POST Reimbursable Program pursuant to Penal Code 13510(a) and 13522.  The agency has agreed to abide by POST Regulations.  A Resolution by the Board of Trustees of the Compton Community College District was adopted on October 17, 2017 as required by Penal Code 13522.  
ANALYSIS:

The agency presently employs one (1) personnel; the Police Chief.  The department will be hiring additional staff; including dispatchers.  The Chief  has completed appropriate basic training.

This report is presented for information only.  No action is required. 

 

RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission is advised that the Compton Community College Police Department has been accepted into the POST Reimbursable Program for their peace officers and dispatchers.
