ISSUE:
The Sutter County Health & Human Services Department sought entry into the POST Non-Reimbursable Peace Officer Program for its welfare fraud investigators.
BACKGROUND:

The Sutter County Health & Human Services Department Agency has requested to participate in the POST Non-Reimbursable Program pursuant to Penal Code 13510(a) and 13522.  The agency has agreed to abide by POST Regulations.  An Ordinance of the Sutter County Board of Supervisors was adopted June 25, 2019 as required by Penal Code Section 13522.

The request was approved by staff.
ANALYSIS:
The agency presently employs three welfare fraud investigators.  The investigators have completed the appropriate basic training as required by Regulation. 
RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission is advised that the Sutter County Health and Human Services Department Investigators have been accepted into the POST Non-Reimbursable Program. This item is for information only. No action is required by the Commission.
