ISSUE:

The report will include, but not be limited to:

  • Transition of POST staff to Telework to maintain government operations.
  • Current status of suspended, cancelled, or delayed training presentations.
  • Impact on agency regulatory compliance.
  • Development of regulatory protocols to assist law enforcement with emergency staffing and hiring needs.
  • Coordination with Governor’s Office for Executive Order authority to address COVID-19 specific law enforcement challenges.
  • Communication to the field and generation of POST Bulletins. 
  • Collaboration with training presenters to evaluate online and/or hybrid training platforms as applicable.
  • Preliminary plans for a gradual return to onsite employee work assignments for POST staff.
  • Plans to address employee and health concerns and workplace safety.
  • Preliminary discussions regarding service to the field in a post-COVID-19 world.
