APPROVAL OF ACTION SUMMARY AND MINUTES
1.Approval of the Action Summary and Minutes of the previous Committee meeting.
If the Finance Committee concurs, the appropriate action would be a MOTION to approve the Action Summary and Meeting Minutes from the last Finance meeting.
BUDGETS
2.Report on Revenue for Fiscal Year 2019-2020

The Commission on POST is partially funded through the State Penalty Fund. POST depends on this revenue to perform its legal obligations to the State of California. Revenues collected in the past 10 years have decreased significantly. Fiscal Year 2019-2020 projected revenues will potentially decrease by more than $12 million compared to the revenues collected in Fiscal Years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.

 

3.Report on Updated Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021

Governor Newsom issued the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 proposed budget for the State of California on January 10, 2020.

 

This report is informational only. No action is required by the Commission.

 

4.Report on Expenditures for Fiscal Year 2019-2020

The Commission on POST reviews the current Fiscal Year budget regularly to ensure compliance in spending. This report notates the current Fiscal Year expenditures through May 19, 2020.

5.Report on Contracts Approved by the Commission for Fiscal Year 2020-2021

During the Commission Meeting held on February 13, 2020, the following proposed contracts were approved for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. There are no new Training Contracts being recommended for consideration and approval.
