ISSUE:

State of California, Health and Human Services Office of Law Enforcement Support (known as CA Office of Law Enforcement Support) has been approved to enter into the POST Non-Reimbursable Peace Officer Program for its peace officers.
BACKGROUND:

The California Office of Law Enforcement Support has requested to participate in the POST Non-Reimbursable Program pursuant to Penal Code 13510(a) and 13522.  The agency has agreed to abide by POST Regulations.  A letter of intent has been received from Chief Geoff Britton.

ANALYSIS:
The agency presently employees five (5) full-time peace officers.  All officers have completed the appropriate basic training.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Commission is advised that the California Office of Law Enforcement Support has been accepted into the POST Non-Reimbursable Program. This is informational only, and no action is required of the Commission.
