ISSUE:
Monterey Regional Airport District Police Department has been disbanded effective November 1, 2018.
BACKGROUND:

On September 12, 2018, the Monterey Peninsula Airport District Board of Directors and the City of Del Rey Oaks City Council approved a law enforcement services contract whereby the City of Del Rey Oaks will provide all law enforcement services to the Airport District beginning October 1, 2018.  Several officers from the Monterey Regional Airport District Police Department transferred their employment to Del Rey Oaks Police Department.

ANALYSIS:
Training Delivery and Compliance staff confirmed there are no longer officers employed with the Monterey Regional Airport District Police Department in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).  Three officers have retired and two officers obtained employment at Del Rey Oaks Police Department.
RECOMMENDATION:
POST recommends the now defunct Monterey Regional Airport District Police Department be reflected as obsolete.
