ISSUE:
What additional processes can be implemented to allow the field to better communicate with POST staff?
BACKGROUND:

At the February 2020 Commission Meeting, Commissioner Bui requested POST research a mechanism so that law enforcement personnel can comment and/or send questions to POST staff and the Commission in order to keep the Commission informed regarding contemporary and relevant issues. The presentation was tabled at the June Commission Meeting, due to COVID-19.
ANALYSIS:
Currently POST utilizes its web pages, EDI, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and PASS (POST Authentication and Secure Services), as well as ongoing direct outreach by staff to communicate with the field.  
RECOMMENDATION:
This report is presented for Commission information only. No action is required.
