ISSUE, BACKGROUND, ANALYSIS, & RECOMMENDATION
ISSUE:

Should the Commission authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract(s) with a vendor(s) to convert and modernize nine (9) existing self-paced training courses for the Learning Portal in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00.
BACKGROUND:
The following nine (9) legacy self-paced training courses were built in Flash technology which no longer exists as of December 2020. To maintain the training, POST will be using an apportionment of reallocated Governor-Directed funding specifically designated for Legacy Course Conversion and modernization of distance learning.

ANALYSIS:

POST Contracts Policy (ASB-04) requires that Commission approve any contract or interagency agreement greater than or equal to $175,000. The total cost of the Legacy Self-Paced Course Conversions is not to exceed $2,000,000.00. 

 

 

 

 
RECOMMENDATION:

POST staff recommends the Commission authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract(s) with a vendor(s) to convert and modernize nine (9) existing self-paced training courses for the Learning Portal in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00.
